Hammell/Fields Family {photoshoot}

I had repeat photography clients over Memorial Day weekend this year.  Susan Hammell contacted me again to take photos of their family during their week-long stay at Topsail Beach, and I'm so happy I was available and the weather cooperated for us!

It's been 6 years since I last photographed this very photogenic family; I was actually pregnant with my firstborn for that session, and now I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old!  Time goes by so fast.  It was so much fun to see the kids and how they've grown since my last shoot with them.  They were very patient with me and all of them did great.

See for yourself:

Leary Family {photoshoot}

One of my friends from high school came to Carolina Beach with her family last weekend, and she wanted me to take some family photos for her on the beach.  I was happy to oblige -- it had been at least 10 or 15 years since I'd seen her!  And I was excited to get to meet her husband and 2 adorable kiddos.

Here are some of my favorites from our evening at Surf City:

Surprise!

A couple of weeks ago, one of my favorite friends surprised her dad with a party to celebrate his 65th birthday.  She asked me to take photos to capture this special time when a lot of his family would all be together -- and he had NO IDEA what was coming!

It was a lot of fun to be a part of and I think Amy's dad was very pleasantly surprised.  You could tell that he relished seeing so many friends and family all together in one place.  I think Amy's mom was definitely relieved to have the secret finally revealed, but she really enjoyed being in the moment with him and all the family, too.

Taylor turns 3!

Last weekend, Taylor celebrated her 3rd birthday at Old McFaye's Farm in true cowgirl fashion!  What a fun party for her and her friends -- so much to do on the farm, from feeding the animals to tractor-pulled hayrides.

Happy birthday, Taylor!  So much fun to capture this special day for you and your family!

Happy birthday, Taylor!

A couple of weekends ago, I had the honor of taking photos at Taylor's 2nd birthday party.  Taylor is the daughter of friends of ours in Wilmington.  She had a Minnie Mouse themed birthday party and it was so much fun to be there!

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day...

Happy birthday, Taylor!  So glad I could help you and you family celebrate your special day!

[Cagney] Family...

A couple of weekends ago, I had an opportunity to do a family photoshoot for our next-door neighbors, Fergal & Carrie, and Carrie's family that was visiting.  They rented a nice big house down on North Topsail Beach (not far from where we live) for the week.  There were 14 of them, including 6 energetic kids!  :)

NC Aquarium...

My brother and sister-in-law came for a visit a few weeks ago and we all drove down to the NC Aquarium in Fort Fisher.  It was all new to everyone (except me and Jeff) so it was time well spent.  Deacon enjoyed seeing everything, as did my niece and nephew, Cora Beth and Bear.

Considering that the kiddos are now so busy (which I've commented on before), I was pleasantly surprised to see so MANY of my photos come out so good.  Because of that, I had a hard time choosing what to post here -- that's why there are so many...

Love this one I snapped of Bear and Deacon -- looks like Deacon's educating Bear on something about those "fishies"...they are only 3 months apart.  Deacon is 3 months older than Bear.  Sweet boys.  :)

And as always, we attempt a photo of the cousins (Cora Beth, 4 yrs / Bear, 18.5 mos / Deacon, 21.5 mos).  This one isn't too bad, except for the uncharacteristic non-smile on my otherwise smiley son's face.  Lovely.
