NYC

Well, it's just ridiculous how long the lulls between posts are on this blog.  I guess you can tell that I'm not doing much in the way of photography these days.  For others, that is.  Of course, I'm still taking lots of photos -- I have an 18 mo old, for crying out loud!  If you'd like to see some recent photos of him, you can check out his blog.

Today I have photos of our recent trip to NYC.  Jeff had to go up for work for a few days and I decided to tag along.  We left Deacon home with his Grandma Sherry (Jeff's mom) and they had a ball together.  :)

We missed Deacon a lot while we were gone, but we had a good time on our "getaway", too:

Jersey City, NJ -- we stayed here, just across the Hudson River from Manhattan, and caught the PATH (NJ's version of the subway) into NY each day...

Yankees Game 1 -- we had seats in right field/bleacher section (aka the rowdy section :)...

Grand Central Station -- it looks just like it does in the movies!  I was really hoping a flashmob would break out while we were standing there...

Yankees Game 2 -- our seats for this game were on the 3rd base line, 3 rows from the field!

Toys R Us, Times Square -- yes, that is a full-size ferris wheel INSIDE the store!  This place was amazing, with 4 levels to shop on, and included an ice cream store (Scoops R Us :).

Hershey's Store, Time Square -- of course, all you can smell is chocolate in this place, and they give you a Hershey's Kiss when you walk in.  :)  You can make your own mix of Hershey's Miniatures here, and they have an 8 oz package of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!  You wouldn't believe the size of each of those cups!

Foxwoods Theatre -- we saw Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark on Broadway while we were there.  It was INCREDIBLE!  We had great seats, even in the back of the theatre.

Brooklyn Bridge -- we didn't have time to park and get out to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge (I think my photos would've been better -- without all the bars), but it was pretty cool to drive across.

See?  I do still take LOTS of photos.  If you want to see more from our trip, you can go here.
